How good a value is a new car right now because of the recession?
July 2009 From a value point of view, new cars have always been sub par because of the immediate drop in value once you leave the lot. But now, dealers are pretty motivated to sell, so I was wondering if you've done some research, what you've found on the value of buying new? Does Consumers Digest have anything to say? Thanks!

- The GM vehicles are priced really low and have the best warranty.
- The best time to buy a car is when you find the car you want that fits your budget. The economy will always vary and if manufacturers are giving big rebates to buy new cars, that just drops their resale value even more because used car dealers must adjust to stay competitive. Good luck and I hope this helps.
