Consumers Digest

you know those product reviews you can read about things?

well i was wondering, do people who work for the company selling the products make accounts to say how the item is soooooooo gooooood and worth every penny? im wondering because i read a lot of reviews products (electronics) before i buy them, and always there is a lot of good review praising it but then a few that totally trash the product. so im wondering if its possible that the good reviews are fake and the bad ones are real? or is it the other way around?

  1. This totally exists. People create fake accounts to bolster their ratings, and also to monitor independent sites where people might trash their services or products. I'm sure not all the good reviews are fake, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is at least one. I think this happens more with services, such as cell phone service, or cable service.
