Do you believe Home Depot's product reviews?

I have had a terrible time with the GE refrigerator that we bought through Home Depot (see my other questions). The Home Depot website has a feature that says rate this product if you own it. I have submitted NUMEROUS reviews for the product (over the last few weeks)- negative reviews to be sure, but NO vulgarity etc.!! But the page still says - no reviews - be the first to review this product. This seems to me to be a dishonest practice. What do you think? Is it legal for them to say (no reviews) or is it a form of false advertising?

  1. Do you think they want negative reviews about their products on their website? It's the same reason why they never advertise a negative review. You always see them say an independent magazine rates this as a best buy but they never tell you 20 other magazines said stay far away. It's all about selling products even if those products are sub par.
  2. I am growing more certain that websites use product reviews in their favor. You would not be able to prove your claims and they know that. I know that on Amazon.com people can list items for sell and they can also register numerous accounts on that website and post reviews. They can easily give their own items rave reviews from many "different" people. This is very deceptive.
