What happens to your skin if you use alcohol and menthol related products?

I bought a new toner based on this reviews ----> http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp?itemid=59572 Alcohol and menthol is in this product. I'm using this currently. It does stings a bit and makes my eyes watery. But other then that i don't have any problem with this. I heard drinking alcohol is bad. But applying on skin? What about that?

1. It will dry out your skin. Alcohol based toners work well in shrinking your pores because it drys them out. I would not use a toner because most of the facial washes these days do the same thing as a toner, so you are over doing it using both. If you want to use a toner, buy an oil free moisturizer. I use clean and clear dual action. It's the only one I can use that wont make me break out or leave my skin shiny.
