What should I do to take dot matrix printing quality more effective and clear using crystal reports?

Hi All, i am creating a crystal report in vb. when i print these reports using dot matrix printer, the output does come so clear. same font and size with Word is giving clear output using same printer. So please help me. what should i do to improve the quality of dotmatrix printing. should i use any special font or any other solution? help please ?????

1. get a new ribbon, if that doesn't work get a new printer, new ribbon should work, the ink on the old one may be drying
