What is the best exercise equipment to choose when you have a knee replacement but really need to exercise?

Public Comments

  1. An eliptical
  2. no, an elliptical is not a good idea, at least in the beginning. buy some cheap exercise bands. Tie one end around your ankle and the other end on something near to the ground behind you. Sit on a chair and do leg extensions.
  3. Eliptical or gliding machines would probably be best. And the bands, as mentioned, would be good so long as you don't overstrain yourself.
  4. Another thing you may want to consider is getting a membership somewhere that has a pool since walking in a pool is very easy on the joints but excellent cardio workout and muscular strengthen building.
  5. A swimming pool would be best. There are small pools that can be installed in a basement. For exsmple, http://www.hydroworx.com
