What one exercise equipment that is best other than treadmil?

I have a cyclo-simulator with my mountain bike on it, an elliptical machine, and a treadmil. I can't do treadmil due to my bad knee. I'm getting tired of my ellipticals and the bike. I'm a hard core aerobic exerciser. Any ideas on other types of equipment other than treadmil?

  1. Tread climber. If your knees are bad, you are better off sticking with the bike or eliptical machine.
  2. some weights or you can box for fitness or maybe just do some sports i dont know were you live but soccer or AFL or rugby are good
  3. I love the cybex arc cross trainer. I have bad knees too and I have been using it instead of the treadmill at the gym and it has greatly reduced the impact on my knee. It gets my heart rate way up too. It also doesn't have to be plugged in so you can put it anywhere. http://www.cybexintl.com/products/cardio/750A/intro.aspx I don't know if you can buy one without being a gym but look for something similar.
  4. Have you tried a recumbent bike? It was what my wife had to use after knee surgery. It helped her get her knee back in shape with low resistance.
