Dr. Linda Niessen, who reports on WFAA talked about a special tooth past for people who had radiation? name?

I had oral cancer and radiation treatment. Recently I saw someone on TV who recommended a tooth paste, only available through a dentist, for patients who had radiation treatment. I thought it was DR. Niessn of Baylord Dental, but I'm not sure and lost the paper I wrote the product name on. Help?

2. I'm going to guess it was Prevident 5000, a high concentration fluoride toothpaste. The other toothpaste you could alternate with is Mentadent Replenshing White, as it restores calcium phosphate to the enamel, which is lost when there is less saliva. Maybe use the replenshing white toothpaste in the morning and the prevident 5000 at night.
3. I would reccomend two products. Prevident for the flouride boost. Biotene as a salivary replacement. as readiation treatment sometimes leads to decreased salivary flow.
4. i don't which one she is talking about but prevident is a good one ...ask your dentist and see iif he thinks you need additonal flouride and/or biotene products for dry mouth which often happens with radiation/chemo
