- run up and down the stairs a bunch of times ..its good excersie
- u need cardio too! RUN! jumprope, and dont only do muscle strengthening things
- well you can start with full body squats (I know its a guy things but girls can do it with same good results and NO you wont get bigger butts using this ) I'd say you should do a google search on "Surya namaskar" or sun salutation. its Yoga technique and works out the whole body in one movement.
- Dance to your favourite music for 30 minutes each day.
- An exercise ball will be the best investment you ever make, and it only costs btwn. $15 and $30, if you shop in the right places.
- You could get a pilates or some other kind of exercise tape or dvd.
- I bought something called a mini stepper at WalMart for $35. It's great. I live in a studio apartment and it doesn't take up any room. Check it out, it's a great cardio!!
- Use other body weight exercises to cover all aspects of your body. Can do squats, lunges, hip lifts, push ups, and dips. If you want to you can add weight with such items as milk jugs filled with water or sand. Can also purchase dumbbells or bands to work your extremities. Just try to use your imagination to come up with an unlimited number of exercises.
- You can't beat push ups! They firm up the arms and use many muscles. And lunges across the room are very good for your legs. Toe touches that you are doing and similar stretching are good for the back!
- for your arms invest in a pair of dumbbells that are about 5-10pounds depending on what look your going for (fit or muscular). You can do tricepts extensions, arm lifts, or a modified bench press with them. For your legs do leg lifts, lunges (lunges are great for your legs and butt) and high kicks in front of you without bending your leg or losing balance. For your back do push-ups, back bend, and some dumbell back twists.
- You have some great answers here! Straight leg toe touches can be very dangerous! Make certain you are thoroughly warmed up and stretched out before doing them. And do them as a stretch exercise only: move very slowly and deliberately, hold the position for a while. A good home exercise for your legs, and a great build-up for skiing, is "wall sitting". Back up to a wall and pretend you are sitting in a chair, using the wall as the chair back. Hold the position for gradually longer periods of time.
