Consumers Digest

In the mid 1990s, which consumer media "brands" (e.g. MTV, Readers Digest, Disney, etc) were global?

When I say global, I mean operating (i.e. publishing, broadcasting, etc) in most, if not all, of the major global markets. Extra points to those of you who can name one or more media brands that started outside of the US before making it big there. MTV, I know, is a stretch - as much of its global reach developed over the past 10 years. It's just an example. Thanks for playing :-)

  1. How about media outlets such as the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) which certainly have an international following. There is also the Wall Street Journal from New York, and the Financial Times from London. I would also probably include companies such as Time Warner.
