What is the best type of bed pillow to buy and where is the best place to get it?

I usually buy cheap pillows that are flat within a month or 2... what's a good pillow to buy that stays big and fluffy and where is the best place to get a deal?

  1. If you sleep alone alot or like to curl up with your pillows between your legs, GET A BODY PILLOW!!!! Otherwise, just try the overstuffed pillows at BB&B
  2. If you have allergies and/or a bad neck or back, try a tempurpedic pillow. I love mine. No more neckaches in the morning for me. You can get them on Ebay for pretty cheap too. theat's where I bought mine.
  3. I still prefer my feather pillows. I can fluff them whenever I please. I just wasted $50 on those "Greatest Pillows" advertised on the TV. Granted they are soft as heck when you put your hand on them. However, when you put something larger, like your head, on it, it is like lying on a chunk of cement! After a week of trying to sleep with it I finally gave up and went back to my feather pillows.
  4. Get down alternative pillows. They're very soft and don't cause allergic reactions like goose down. Get king-sized or jumbo ones. I buy mine at TJMaxx or other discount stores to save a little money and get better-quality products.
  5. I had the same problem and now I use two: one foam pillow (a relative cheap, plain old foam pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond... or maybe it was Linens & Things) that provides the support + one down alternative pillow which does get flat but can be fluffed (and is supported by the foam anyway).
  6. I like a really fluffy pillow to fold in half so that it is the right firmness, but when we bought our new mattress they gave us the tempur-pedic pillows "free" (the mattress was $900) I LOVE it. It stays firm, is shaped right to fit your neck and the cels are closed, so no dust mites or yucky stuff can get in them to bother your allergies or make you sneeze. They are about $80, but if you buy a $10 pillow every 2 months anyhow, you're saving money in the long run, you will never have to buy another pillow again!
  7. Ok, you know how hotel pillows are sometimes so amazing? I actually took the pillow cover off once to see the tag, because I wanted these great soft, fluffy pillows. The secret is they are feather pillows wrapped in down- so they stay soft and squishy but have a firmer center core that keeps them from getting too flat with use. They are made by Pacific Coast (see link) and are a bit pricey, but worth every penny. You can buy them directly from their website, as it seems to be the best price. Also, the site will give you tons of details and options.Trust me- you'll sleep so well on these. Good Night!
  8. You want real goose down pillows with cotton ticking. Here's the website, and they have them in Medium or Firm: http://elegantlinenspc.com/down-pillows.htm
