Best Home exercise equipment?

I am a healthy 35-year-old male looking for a good home exercise equipment. If anyone knows about the best in terms of cost, utility, and durability, please keep me enlightened. Thanks a ton.

  1. Honestly, just get a set of dumbells from walmart, there 40 dollars and u can change the weight, it comes with 50 pounds total. Buy a bench , this will cost about 40 dollars. the expensive part is the weights, the bar is cheap. Pull up bar is 11 bucks at walmart. Once you have that, go to my site, i explain nothing but home workouts there....i have a bunch of workouts you can do from home with minimal equipment. Heres a link
  2. I love my treadmill :o) I have it in my bedroom facing my television and I go for 60-90 minutes. I tivo my programs and fast forward through commercials. Having something to focus on really helps me a lot. I usually bring a bottle of water or glass of ice water and keep a log of my distance and date. Treadmills have various programs that go from easy to more challenging with speed and incline or you can create your own and work at your own pace. I also like to use 2-4 four pound weights to work my upper body and arms. If I was going to buy something else I think I would like an exercise bike and I would also put that in my bedroom. Good luck in whatever you choose. Go for it while you have the desire to do it - it will definitely make a difference.
  3. I have made a push-up equipment material made of plywood and it's durable and no cost and I've also made a dumbell made out of cement. It doesn't cost that much. for equipment materials, try to search for it thru google or youtube. It gives me some brilliant idea.
  4. I agree with what the first guy said and I have the weights and dumb bells. I love them. However I also have the following. 1. A Nordictrak Treadmill with I Fit Card Slot I have the personal Trainer working through the I Fit Card and I love that I am making progress on these workouts. 2. I have a Yoga Mat and the Yoga Zone Collection. These things keep me in great shape and I love watching the Biggest Loser on my DVR that is hooked up to my Treadmill! That TV keeps me on the Treadmill longer than anything. I just turn off the timer so I can watch the screen the IFIT Card pushes me and keeps me moving and I get a great workout
