Home Depot Stores Products Home Improvement Knowledge Base

Do home improvement stores make store-brand potting mixes? I'm doing a science project and I need to find the cheapest type of potting mix available to buy, and that is usually the store brand's product. I've poked around the sites (Home Depot and Lowe's) endlessly and all they list on the site is Miracle-Gro and a few lesser-known national brands. Do these stores distribute their own brands?
Home improvement stores...? I am remodeling a small kitchen for a rental of mine. I need everything. Base Cabinets, wall cabinets, countertops, a sink, stove/oven, frig., flooring. My thing is i don't want to spend alot of money on the remodel. Does Home depot and/or Lowe's have a as-is room? Like at furniture stores they have a room in the back that has furniture that has a little sometimes unnoticeable stain or rip and they sell it for way less. I was wondering if Lowes or HD keeps their mistakes or damaged products and sells them for less? If not does anybody know were they go? Also, If you know any other places/websites where i could get some cheap cabinetry and appliances? I have tried the habitat for humanity stores and i love them but they don't have much at the moment. Any other stores out there like H4H?
Are Home Depot and Lowes as good a place as any to buy Silestone countertops? I know you can get granite counters from other sources cheaper but since Silestone is a manufactured product it doesn't seem to be easy to find other places that carry it. It is phenomenally expensive at the big home improvement stores. I am dead set on using it and the price flips me out just a little. I'll pay it if I have to but I don't want to. Jack, That little link to find a dealer is just what I need. Thanks!
where can i get liquid sandpaper? I did an online search of my home improvement stores, home depot, lowes, ace hardware etc....and none of them have liquid sandpaper or wil-bond on their sites as a product. Where else would have it?
Need help on essay for school!!? The essay is about Home Depot and Lowe's Website which is what we have to write about... What I need is substantial content issues, please give me feedback and explain what the writer says or fails to say... What is your response to this essay? Best answer gets 10 points!!! Thanks guys.... The company websites I chose to go with were Home Depot and Lowe's. I chose them because they are very closely related, and big competition to each other. Home Depot and Lowe's are very similar stores. They are both stores for home improvement, and carry a lot of the same items. They carry some of the same brands, along with those who are store exclusive to each company. Home Depot's slogan on the website is “You can do it. We can help.”, while Lowe's slogan is “Let's build something together.” Home Depot has more of a slogan that is telling the consumer that they supply items for you to do the work yourself. Lowe's has just the combined, possibly telling the consumer that they can help you do what you need. Lowe's also includes “Improving Home Improvement” on the title of their website. The Home Depot website is categorized more by the actual item, whereas the Lowe's website is categorized more by location of the project and type of item. The Lowe's website has their categories with a few sub categories on the home page (possibly the most visited and/or most popular), and the Home Depot website just lists out the the product categories. The websites of both companies are shopping websites where you can actually buy products through the internet. Home Depot's front page starts off with the listed categories, discounts that are currently going on, in-store events and promotions and seasonal items. Lowe's front page starts off with home improvement ideas, how to guides, buying guides, design tips, and similar other things. They both take different approaches at sales. The Home Depot website is more about buying, and it seems like the assumption that you know what you need, or at least where you want to look. Although, the Home Depot website does offer various help tips and guides, it does not include as many, and does not seem to be a very big advertisement characteristic of their website. The Lowe's website seems like it wants to offer you help on your project. It offers you a lot on tips and help, which can be better for those who are not exactly sure what they want, or how to do. This actually kind of goes back with their slogans, with the one being more we have what you need for your project, and then the other saying that we can help you with your home improvement projects. They both offer a lot of visual images on their websites. The Lowe's website offers more pictures of the actual products in real situations, whereas the Home Depot website has more of just the product with no extra props or anything. Another thing, they both offer customer service of their websites. The Home Depot website seems to have more information about everything at the bottom of the pages. Lowe's has some, but not like Home Depot with shipping information, privacy, security information, etc. That is the information I have gathered for my essay so far.

why wont nowhere hire me!? I dont get it, i honestly dont, i have been desperately looking for a job for about 2 months now, filled out like 7 apps or so, checked up on them, and still no answer! Im 19, have a GED, and have somewhat decent experience. My whole life ive always been in the construction field, home improvements, contracting, and ive also been a telemarketer. Right now i absolutely hate my job with a passion, i am currently at a telemarketing place where it is only commission, the economy sucks right now so that means no places are buying products which in turn means no sales! And to be completely honest, dont laugh, but i make about $50 a week on average, just because how crappy the economy is....Thanks Bush!lol. I have been so depressed lately, i need money so bad, and im tired of making horrible money, not only need cash for stuff like bills but just so i can have fun once in a while you know? Thats not too much to ask for.....a little 'ME' money. I have applied at about 7 places: Home depot, publix, barnes and nobles book store, walgreens, best buy, whole foods market, eb games and blockbuster. The ones im really pushing for are Publix, Home Depot and Barnes and nobles, only because theyre real big lively and energetic places where ill be kept busy and will always have something to do, plus theyre all friendly atmospheres. But here's my problem, now since ive applied at these 7 places, i call in weekly to speak to the store managers just to check the status of my application and show that im aggressive and want the job and they all tell me the same things, "We'll look into it and keep you on file, we'll call you if anything pops up", blah blah blah, like ive never heard that one before. My apps have stayed active for about 2 months now at all these places, but the thing that confuses the hell out of me is that all the places ive applied at that have said they'll keep me on file, pretty much blowing me off, all have hired new employees even though ive applied so long ago! Yeah! And all these new people theyve hired are all newbies, little kids practically, none older than 16, yet they hire them and not me?! Its insulting! Why them? I need a job more than ever yet these stores hire these punks before me, like im chopped liver or something, do i have to crawl on my hands and knees and beg for a job or something?!!! I just dont get it, i put all positive things about me on the apps, have a good background, no criminal record, clean system, GED etc....all things stores are looking for yet they hire a 16 year old kid before me.......its so discouraging you know? Im trying my hardest here, i hope everynight that i get a job fast and still no luck, what the hell is going on here? Am i doing something wrong? How can i improve my chances on getting hired somewhere? Thanks for listening to me rant guys, lmao :-)
What am I supposed to do in this situation? I do home improvements. The property owner bought some motion sensor lights from home depot. I install all of them. They work. After awhile, they all conk out. The motion sensor doesn't work, or something's wrong with them. I look up the reviews, and all the same purchasers of the product noted the same problems. The lights got like one star or something. I gave them another chance, to find one of two didn't work. Getting fed up of uninstalling them, returning them to the store, installing them, sealing them....Ugh! So I tried a different brand. And now one of those just stopped working completely after one month!!! I'm so upset because I sealed it, now have to take it off again, and install it! I'll get the same brand again this time as all the other ones still work fine. But if I have to switch brands again, then I'll have to take them both off! * I've installed tons of fixtures, fans, etc...you name it. These lights though!!! They stink!!! And make me look bad!
Are Home Depot and Lowes as good a place as any to buy Silestone countertops? It is phenomenally expensive at the big home improvement stores. I am dead set on using it and the price flips me out just a little. I'll pay it if I have to but I don't want to. We plan to do most of it ourselves. My hubby's a do it yourself kind of guy. I love that about him when it goes well. It saves a ton of money! I do have a realtor friend who flips houses and your answer just made me think of asking him. If there's a better place I bet he knows about it. Thanks
