Do Best Buy laptops come with an Operating system back up disc? My ACER Laptop recently was infected with a virus and is slightly unusable (I always get the BSOD). It didn't come with a Vista OEM backup DVD/CD (one that will actually re-install windows), so if I wipe the hard drive I would have to buy a new operating system. Do Best Buy Laptops come with this type of Operating system back-up disc, that could re-install Windows after the hard drive is wiped, in case of a virus? My questions is, looks like Best Buy is opening the laptops before the sell them and adjusting them (making faster & removing software.) That’s what the store manager explained to me. How do I return my Best Buy laptop? I purchased a laptop from Best Buy a little over a month ago, (HP Laptop, Windows Vista Home Premium), however, it continues to get the blue screen of death while no programs are even running (even after it's been reformatted)!! I tried to take it back, as I don't want a buggy laptop, but they assured me they'd fix it. I got it back, with the same problem (repeat x2). Now, all I want is my money back. Bought Laptop from Best Buy Want to Return? I bought a Sony Vaio laptop computer from best buy and had them install security software($130). However the battery doesnt last very long--maybe an hour and a half, so I want to return it. The return policy is 14 days, with a 15% restocking fee(unless there is a defect) on opened laptops. My question is--is the battery not lasting too long considered a defect, and if so is the $130 software refunded as well?

Someone with a brain about Best Buy and Laptops please? So I recently updated my parts and labor warranty for $300 at Bet Buy. Yesterday System32 shut down my laptop and put it to rest forever. My pictures..Gone! My 5GB of music, GONE!!! It only loads to a black screen even in SafeMode. My warranty is at Best Buy, and I need a system recovery, and a reformat.
