Can a company get in trouble for writing its own product reviews? My CEO of where I work is writing product reviews and giving them all five stars. It is painfully clear that it is him who is writing them as he has a very distinctive writing voice and also uses industry terms that your average consumer would never, ever use in a review.

Why do you write reviews of products? For those who write reviews online, whether on their blogs or those user based review sites, why do you write them? Is it because: a) To earn money b) To earn recognition c) You enjoy writing reviews d) You have something you know about these products which you want to share it with others. If it is b, c or d, would you still write if the website is unable to pay you for your review? Thank you.
Where can i try out products and write reviews for them for money? I started taking surveys online for money, and so far i am liking it, it is very easy. I was reading the latest issue of seventeen magazine and in the Easy Money section she said that she got sent samples of things to try out and make reviews for them. But i just cant find some where that i can do that. I am very interested in doing this, it fits my life style easily and i can "work" whenever i can.

What incentives are there for people to write reviews on a product or website (on the net)? Amazon and ebay do great - but there's so many website that allow for reviews and there are none. I'm trying to find a new doctor and barely any yellow page results have reviews. Whenever I look for products it takes a while to find a review from somewhere other than Amazon (although I'm lucky if Amazon has a review). Reviews help everyone. I started putting up good reviews for the doctors I liked. Anyhow - was wondering from a personal standpoint and a marketing standpoint (ASIDE FROM MONEY) what is a good incentive to get someone to post a review about a product or service?

Unfortunately, paypal is not supported in my country. However, some get paid to review sites pay using other methods.

Can a company post reviews of its products on its website? Say a magazine writes a review of a certain companies product, and publishes the review. Can a company take that review and post it on its website? Or do the writers of the reviews and the publisher of the magazine have the rights to that review, even though it was about the companies product?
Is it possible to edit an Amazon review after submitting it? I know that when it comes to Amazon product reviews, after writing it the website goes to a preview before publishing, which is for the specific purpose of checking the review out before publishing it. However, I was just a little too hasty pressing the "Publish" button, and I noticed a few small errors in my product review. Is it possible to edit a product review after it's been submitted? Or after submitting it, is it set in stone? P.S. I learned my lesson with this entry, and double-checked it before submitting it. :-)
How do you make money online? I've been trying to find a part time job in my county (seriously, COUNTY) for about 6 months now and nothing has turned up. I'm now turning to the internet to try to make legitimate money from where ever I access my computer and internet. I'm at my wits end and if anyone has had any luck making real money without surveys, scams, fees or anything of that sort, I'd appreciate some help. I'm best at data entry, creative writing, product reviews, blogging about social concerns and the likes. But I am always willing to learn something new.
Does Avon allow it's reps to have a blog about Avon products? Are we allowed to have a blog where we can write product reviews and talk about the business? Lots of companies don't allow reps to have their own sites, so I want to make sure they would allow it before I join it. Thanks, but I didn't ask about Project Payday. I asked about Avon. I am interested in answers to my specific question, not about other biz opps. Thanks anyway.
Poll: Do you ever write Troll Reviews of products on Amazon? I personally don't but I have seen many troll reviews on Amazon. And I'm curious to know if any of you do write troll reviews. One time some troll was "reviwing" so Nintendo 64 game and said "Best graphics ever way better that Black Ops. This is the most realistic game ever made!" I was like LOLing at the obvious trolling!
Detail implementation procedure for Internet user to submit a review of a product? Implementation procedure detailing of how to create a webpage where users can submit their own review of a product. For instance, user will log in to their account, click on the 'Submit Review' button, write their opinions and click the 'Submit' Button. The written description will be automatically uploaded onto the webpage. (Another example of this would be what I am doing now, write the question on Yahoo Ask, and click 'Submit' to upload it on to webpage for other people to see). I need details of how the whole principle / mechanisium works, and how to go about creating it> i.e. methord and software use, etc... Many thanks.

Is it illegal to not post bad reviews on a product in order to make a product seem better than it really is? I keep trying to post a review on a product that is falsely advertised. The review never gets posted, yet good reviews are getting posted that were written at the same time as mine. Is it illegal to withhold bad reviews like this? If so, what law(s) does it violate? Also, is it illegal to falsely advertise a product? And in case you're wondering, I didn't violate any conditions involving the review of a product. There was no harsh language or anything like that. I simply stated that the product is not what it's said to be, and you should be aware of that.
I have to write a product review...ideas? So im in HS and i have to write a product review for my journalism class. It can be virtually anything (school appropriate). I need ideas because none of mine seem to be that great. Prerequisites: *needs to be within interest of teens *i have to interview 2 people (so it has to be a product that i can easily find someone who uses it often) *it has to be either a product review or product comparison My ideas: iPad vs kindle (but i dont know anyone who uses these so i cant do that) Game Apps: Ovenbreak vs Run Stick Run Brownie mix: Duncan Hines vs Betty Crocker (other then taste i dont think HS students would be very interested) Types of popcorn?: Orvell Reddenbocker vs Pop Secret (or something like that) Brownies (again:))- a box mix vs Home made brownies What if I did the app Angry Birds? Should I do a comparison w/ that and if so what could I compare it to, it has to be similar *If i do food it would be a blind taste test *I only have a short period of time so i cant do like Pro Active vs Clean and clear TY:)
Why aren't my reviews showing on amazon? I've posted reviews before, and they've been published on the site. I wrote one earlier and it was published immediately, but i've just written two more and they're not showing on my profile or the product page. I definitely clicked publish and waited until the confirmation page, and if I go to the product page and try and write a review again it claims i've already written one for this product...why aren't my reviews showing? Thanks
Can I use a review of my product on my own website? If a magazine writes a favorable review of my product or business, I would like to post a copy of it on my site. This may even include a scanned copy of it. I'm sure publishers would be friendly and not mind but I really don't know. My question is, am I allowed [since they are talking about my company/products] to post them on my own website without any special permission? It just seems like a pain to have to contact each publisher constantly to get permission for this as I don't want to bug them; but maybe that's just how it works. Any suggestions? Thank you. If I can use it without specific permission, why would this not be considered copyright infringement [for the sake of discussion]? And if so, I guess is that because of the specific case that the article mentions my product, so it bypasses copyright [or something]?
Is it illegal to write a blog review of a crappy product, and then refer them to my product? I write a blog. Some of it is to give out information, and some of it is to promote an e-book that I wrote. In my blog, I wrote a review of a real crappy product that is out there, and that is scamming people out of their money. I name the product by its exact name, no beating around the bush. Then in the end, I refer my product, a much better (and honest) solution in my opinion. A LOT of people have been reading this blog entry, and as a result going to my website. I am just writing my honest opinion, my question though is, is this illegal in any way (using their exact product name)? I mean, I see commercials on TV name competitors all the time. Or am I protected under the first ammendment to write my honest opinion on a scam product (even though I am benefitting from it)

prefering google sites? Some software and product owner asking for your website to show their products reviews written by you. I'm hosting sites on Google sites, Facebook, Wordpress and so. Anyway, want to know can I use those sites to write reviews for commercial products?
Do people like to write reviews on products and business's? What if you they paid? Listen up, now this IS a question. A question I am seeking an answer on and not just an advertisement I promise. I am associated with www.RatingHQ.com , it's a Rating Web Site community, I call a mix of "MySpace and Consumer Reports" with a touch of revenue on the side. Is there anyone out there that would enjoy writing and submitting reviews on Products, Business' or Everything Else Topics? It's about just that, you can submit products that are not yet submitted to redeem ownership of that item for life on the website. As long as you sign up for Google AdSense you can use your AdSense ID to allow the RatingHQ website to displays Google Ad's that will credit your account everytime someone clicks on one of the advertisements displayed inside of your ITEM pages you create. Same with the Business and Everything Else area. There is also a soon to be 'referral' program where you get more visibility. - So Question is: WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS???
Libel over a negative product review? I feel as if I'm doing so much work on another's behalf. My ex is accusing me of writing a neg review of his company. At first I thought nothing of it, but now he says he wants to go to court. I asked him if I could look at the reviews and he gave me the names of the forums they were posted on. It is possible to see that this guy was angry and felt like he was ripped off and the product was defective. He made one post, then was continually attacked by people whom he believed worked for my ex - which I know may or may not be true b/c only my ex and his brother work on these. I guess the product he got crakced and when he tried to return it, my ex told him it was after 30 days. I don't know if this is true b/c my ex seems like the type who would give a refund. The guy said he was offered an exchange, but didn't want it b/c he felt the product was defective. So, tons of attacks are made on this guy. Bantering goes back and forth for a few days. Some people are on his side, saying they don't like the look of the product. I've read these things extensively b/c I want to be prepared. My ex also told me to look at another forum. I did and the same type of review, on the same day was posted, but under a different name. When I looked at the guy's profile, it was the same last name. So, now my ex is blaming me. Saying that I wrote them. They were written on mainly the same day, with the same message, and around the time we broke up. I'm doing my own research b/c I have no money for a lawyer, and in fact, I'm preg with my ex's baby and have a 3 year old - I don't need this. I could see how he thinks it's me, but it wasn't. There is no convincing him. And now he says that he knows for sure it was my IP - which is ridiculous! He also claims that he wants to sue my dad b/c my dad pays the internet bill, so he is liable - I believe he is now attacking my dad b/c he realizes I have no money myself. I spoke to some IT experts who said it IS possible to make something look like it came ftom my IP - so naturally, I'm a little worried. Around the time of these postings, my computer came down with a virus, that I thought he had sent me. I'm not rich, but my parents are. I think he may be setting me up. If this is a real guy who is upset about the product, then shouldn't someone protect his freedom of speech? My ex can't just go around suing people who leave a negative review. The review is pretty harsh, but all that follow is the guy defending himself. I don't want to repost it, but this is the gist: "I bought some ... from ... and w/in a few weeks they cracked. When I called the owner was rude to me and I felt he ripped me off. Buyer beware!" How do I "Turn it around on him?"

Does the FTC new disclosure law for bloggers apply to video bloggers or just written bloggers? does the Federal Trade Commision new law starting Dec 1 stating all bloggers will have to reveal to their followers when they get a free product or paid for a review apply only to written bloggers or also video bloggers (example youtube)?? If this applys also to video bloggers do you have a link to an official site that specifically mentions video blogging is included in this new law? All of the sites I see only seem to mention written bloggers.

Where can I find sources of unbiased reviews (for anything)? It seems like a large number of review sites, blogs, or store's review sections are littered with paid advertisements for products or services. I accept online freelance writing jobs and have to sort through hundreds of offers to write what I consider "fake" product reviews (the people who offer the jobs tell you to go to their product's website, read about it and then write a review that either you or they post all over the internet.) I consider these jobs to be unethical and will not accept them. Because of my freelance work, I know of may sites that have biased (paid) reviews. However, I'd like to find more sites with unbiased product or service reviews (for anything). Only 2 websites come to mind that have unbiased and non-paid reviews. Are their any others out there?
I have a primo URL and want to start a business selling a product...? I can even patent the product and as a scientist I can write a review website about it. I don't want others to just use my information to profit off their own similar products however. Should I go solo and try to market direct, or is it best to go through a manufacturer/distributor? And how do you find these companies? Thanks
Writing reviews for non-yahoo products on 360? On yahoo 360 I try to write a review and it does not let me write one unless it is for part of the yahoo network. It asks me to "Write a review for Yahoo! Local, Games, Shopping or Travel." with the words "local" "games" "shopping" and "Travel" in its own hyper-text link leading to a different part of yahoo. Is it possible to write a review on 360 for a product which is not a part of yahoo's website or sold by yahoo.com? And if so how do I do that?
What is the Definition of an "Angle" in Journalism? This is probably one of the craziest questions ever, but it is for a high school journalism class where I am having to write a product review. My assignment asks "What angle are you writing from?" Thanks so much! PS- I do an online school, so I can't get an immediate answer from my teacher.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY DOING MOVIE REVIEWS? Ok, so I know there are places where people write reviews for products and get paid sorta like you do on helium, but what about movie or book reviews, are there any? Or any good freelance writing/photography sites? I know of sites that do, but for other categories. I was looking for movie ones.
How to get people to write reviews on a new review site? We have setup a Google AdSense revenue share program, and are thining about doing a points/rewards system. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get new comers and people to start writing opinions / reviews on products, business, or anything else? Our site www.RatingHQ.com is setup to accept reviews of ANY nature, there's i believe 20,000+ categories or better to place reviews into. We are really after the products or business that PERFORM EITHER VERY WELL, or TERRIBLE. Anyhow, we are trying to come up with new creative ways to allow people to have incentives, any ideas?

Has any skater ever tried any litezpeed skateboard products? Reviews? I Bought 5 really strong blank decks off ebay called litezpeed. I trust the company a lot because the decks last for over 7 months in perfect condition. So I decided to buy bearings from them. 5 sets for $20. So if they aren't any good It's no big loss. But if you've ever ridden them and could write a review that would be great.
Product review software? I want to allow people to review products on my web site. Does anyone know of software that will allow people to write and leave reviews on my web site?

"I gave this product a 9/10." Using the proper tense..? I gave this product a 9/10. (9 out of 10) When you write a review you first rate the product, then below that you write your review. Thus, the rating comes before the writing. So when you are writing the review you can save "gave" in the past tense because you rated in the past (even if it was only 10 seconds ago). Am I right?
