Unbiased Product Reviews Knowledge Base

Where can I find sources of unbiased reviews (for anything)? It seems like a large number of review sites, blogs, or store's review sections are littered with paid advertisements for products or services. I accept online freelance writing jobs and have to sort through hundreds of offers to write what I consider "fake" product reviews (the people who offer the jobs tell you to go to their product's website, read about it and then write a review that either you or they post all over the internet.) I consider these jobs to be unethical and will not accept them. Because of my freelance work, I know of may sites that have biased (paid) reviews. However, I'd like to find more sites with unbiased product or service reviews (for anything). Only 2 websites come to mind that have unbiased and non-paid reviews. Are their any others out there?
What websites give unbiased reviews of hair regrowth products, like avacor, etc? Looking for websites that review hair regrowth products, I have found that every website that says it is a consumer review site is owned by one of the products
unbiased reviews of natural beauty products? DOes anybody know where I can go to find out which "natural" beauty products are really natural? There are so many out there that say they are natural and organic, but I have read that many have only small amounts of anything natural and/or organic and the rest of the ingredients are just the same old stuff. Since I'm not an expert label reader and don't know what ingredients are dangerous I'm curious if there is a website out there that will help you determine which products are really ok and which ones just have pretty labels that sugar coat the names of the same dangerous chemicals that are in all of the other stuff.
Electronic product reviews website? I am searching for an unbiased electronics reviews website. I am interested in ipods, cameras and other gadgets.
Where is the best place to find unbiased information? Alot of review magazines or websites have biased reviews. I'm looking for an unbiased review for all products a. On the internet where can i find a good place to get the accurate reviews? Without paying money b. How do we know if some of the review magazines are being paid off?
What are your favorite magazines to read and why? Personally I like: Consumer Reports : unbiased product reviews/ratings Marie Claire and Glamour : broad scopes and lots of topics (besides fashion and sex = Cosmpolitan, yawn) National Geographic : in-depth articles and amazing photography Budget Travel : When $5000 for a 5-day vacation in the Mauritius is out of your price range Dwell and Metropolitan Home : I enjoy modern home design and furnishings.
What is the best online fish forum? I would like to do a little bit of everything, show off my tanks, view others' tanks, get some advice when needed and join in some fish related discussions. My focus is mainly Malawi African Cichlids and DIY projects, as well as unbiased product reviews and planted tank info. What sites have you used, and which are your favorites? EDIT - Thank you Lisa, I will check them out, as well as any other suggestions I get. If someone is going to thumbs down an answer, why not leave another suggestion yourself?
The Legal Issues of Product Reviews? What are some of the legal issues associated with product reviews and the use of manufacturer trademarks in those reviews? Example: I film a video of someone reviewing a DVD Player from, say, Sony. We show the DVD player, which includes Sony's logo. We talk about Sony, the DVD player, other non-Sony DVD players and provide a fair and unbiased opinion as to the value of the product, without making any grand claims regarding quality or functionality. Is this fair use of the trademark? Would we require a release from Sony to distribute this video?
Why is it that gamestop and tigersdirect dont really have bad reviews for products posted? I've done several bad reviews for products buying them through gamestop and tigersdirect. It's been a month and still they have not posted my bad reviews! The reviews were unbiased and doesn't contain any explicit words. It's just my review! My educated guess is that they want good reviews which will eventually lead to someone buying the product making them $$$.
How can I find unbiased reviews? Whenever I search for reviews of products, business opportunities or anything else, I waste 90% of my time reading fake or biased reviews, usually written by some jerk trying to sell me his version of what I need accurate info on. I don't surf the internet for fun. I'm here to get accurate information and get on with my real life. The only place I have found is Consumer Reports and it's not free. I'm OK with paying a fee, as nothing is free anyway, especially on the net. Wow. Only one person has a suggestion? Forums are great, but I would spend my whole life looking around there. How does everyone else get real information?
Has anyone used the product: Tummy Tune-up? It is an all natural product for stomach ailments. I would like some unbiased reviews on this product, please.
Seeking unbiased answers on the acne product Proactiv? Wondering: How long it will take to work to fully clear up acne? Will it make my skin worse after i stop using the brand? (for example go from proactiv back to st.ives) Is it worth it to spend $40 on the system? And personal reviews please! (non-biased necessary) Thanks
What digital camera do you recommand for shooting web/product photos? Please provide some names/models and some of their specs. Better yet, some unbiased review websites. Thank you.
How can I get an un-biased /on "Supple"? Has anyone, (except a Company representative or paid testimonial person) used the arthritis product "Supple"? How can I get a true Unbiased review on this product?
What is the best review for the diet solution program? I came across "the diet solution program" online. It is quite famous but i would like to read the best and unbiased review for this program. I did a google search for "the diet solution program review", but wasn't satisfied. If you know any good review of this product please do pass me the link, and let me know... thanks in advance
I am looking for an unbiased review for xsitepro.? I want a review from someone who has used this product, both pros and cons, who ALSO is not trying to sell it as an affiliate (in other words, a person who writes reviews to sell a product and gets commissions.)
What is the best "brand name" multi-formula product for mental clarity and memory? Looking for reviews from people and unbiased documented results of different brand name products, ie Focus Factor, Constant Focus, Serenity, etc.
Where can I find good, unbiased comparisons of CAD software? I work for a very small company that's considering switching to a new CAD software, so I'm trying to find out as much information as I can. (When I say "small company," I mean so small that this decision is basically falling entirely in my lap.) I'm basically looking at the big names in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, proE, Solid Edge) and trying to compare them in terms of price, licensing, features, ease of use, compatibility, etc. We do product design, so good 3D modeling and assembly is our basic need; things like FEA are less important. Our biggest concern is probably price, but we also worry about compatibility (i.e. sending out a Solid Edge file to a manufacturer will probably induce more headaches than the equivalent proE file). I'd love to hear if anyone knows of any good websites that offer detailed and unbiased reviews (preferably by customers) or if anyone has any opinions of their own they'd like to share. Thanks!
im looking for a site that reviews cosmetics, beauty products, lotions, and other female things? something unbiased and where anyone can basically write a review and offer opinions. anyone know of a website like this?
where can i read an unbiased advocare slim review? my friend leonard was telling me about advocare products and how he has lost 13 lbs in the first 24 days. this sounds tremendous but im worried about scams on the internet. has anyone here tried advocare slim?
Has anyone used Hair No More Advanced Hair Vanishing Cream? I've seen this product in natural health food stores and alternative health websites and it claims to have only natural ingredients. I did a google search on all the ingredients listed and found a MSDS on the ingredient "CALCIUM THIOGLYCOLATE TRIHYDRATE". The MSDS states that the substance is toxic to the reproductive system, upper respiratory tract, central nervous system. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substance can produce target organs damage. I don't think any "natural" ingredient should have toxic effects on the body. I've also read reviews where people say that this product has burned their skin, however, other people swear by it. I'm a little confused and would like some unbiased reviews from people that have tried this product. Thank you in advance!
where do i look for colon cleansing products? i need honest unbiased reviews on values & safety, then i would like #1 recommendation. where do i find "unbiased" reviews on this subject?
where do I start my search for an effective and safe diet pill? I would like to find a safe diet pill but do not know where to begin. I am looking for an unbiased site whuch contains reviews on the various weightloss products on the market. to clarify. I am not looking for product recommendations but a place I can go to read unbiased reviews
Ped Egg. Concept behind the product...? I was researching testimonials and reviews on this product. The results have been overall positive. However, I have grown concerned over the people who have said that this product has made their feet worse. I do not know if the product was used properly or not. Still, I wonder about the long term affects of this product. At it's base is a company who wants to make money. These blades have to be replaced, and I understand that this product has to be used on a continual basis. Otherwise the roughness would return, right? Rough skin always comes back, and depending on the "abuse" it has received, sometimes it returns with a vengeance. If we think of how calluses are formed to begin with (usually from rubbing or pressure from shoes), and how they get progressively worse with the continued rubbing, would it not make sense then that abrasive solutions to this problem could, in time make things worse? There are some cases, I believe, where the skin is so damaged that only a razor would correct the situation. But would a person with normal amounts of dry skin be better off moisturizing daily and not walking around bare footed? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this matter and I will respond frequently to comments. And in the end I'll rate the best answer as unbiased as possible! Thanks! Cyn: Yes, I know I did. It's mostly for research. Plus I worry that my friends or family might buy something that isn't good for them. But you prove my point in a sense, because you do nothing harsh to your feet and they are fine! nunya: It's interesting that you mentioned your mother had none. Usually skin becomes rougher on the feet with age, so it's great her are good! Could you explain why walking around barefoot has nothing to do with it? People who only use sandals may tend to have dryer feet. But u're right when it comes to people's different skin types. It might depend on how much a person's feet sweat as well I suppose :D marie: I don't want any ped egg lovers here... just kidding! It's great that it works, I'm not denying that. But do you find urself needing it more often? I love how you said "I don't moisturize, it makes my feet more sweaty" lmao too cute... or gross...hmm
Will Atheists still support science if a legitimate, unbiased, accepted peer review journal supports ID? Dr. Hugh Ross, astrophysicist. Has presented a testable model of intelligent design, which includes 4 models, and 89 predictive tests, giving the scientific community the chance to publically verify or falsify the data. If you are an Atheist, will you stand still stand by science, or abandon it if the scientific community finds that the tests can be verified after repeating the tests themselves using the scientific process. http://www.reasons.org/shop/customer/product.php?productid=747&cat=0&page=1 Why do evolutionists keep asking for proof of creationism, when since 08/22/2006 the RTB model has been supplied and offered up for testing. Ask, and ye shall receive... You have asked, and now you have received. Are you truly interested in the truth, or is that just a cliche??? Solly proves to us that Atheists will report any Christian post they can click the flag on! The link is there because it is the only link that gives the table of contents of the book. The link at Amazon does not list them, the link at CBD, target, shop.com, and the others do not list the contents of the book. I was hoping for a link other than reasons.org, because I knew the Ad Hominem attacks would fly just by seeing what website it was posted at. So take note Christians... Solly has proved to us all that the Atheists are hunting out our posts and trying to kill our accounts by manipulating the Yahoo guidelines.
Looking for an Unbiased Bass Amp review/answer? Good day/evening to you. I've been playing bass guitar for a few years now, but just started getting serious into playing live shows. I have a small amp barely loud enough for practice, and am looking for a good/cheap starter stack. I found http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Acoustic-B200H-200W-Bass-Head-and-B115-250W-1x15-Bass-Cab-Package?sku=483494 this, however believe I've heard some bad things on Acoustic. Anyone have bad experience with these? Any suggestions on other amps for cheap? Im looking for the 2 parter cab / head style. Also any comments, suggestions, and tips on bass, or playing shows will help. The style I play and will be playing is an Alt-Rock, Punk, Pop punk mixture.
Do you trust gun reviews in magazines? Maybe I'm just being suspicious and skeptical, but you get the latest issue of "Gun and Gear" (yes, I made that up.) and read the reviews of the latest and greatest hunting rifle from xscout's arms. Of course you read a glaring, positive review about this must have gun that will pretty much make every other gun obsolete, and it can be yours complete with sling, scope, and cleaning kit for the bargain price of $1499.99. So, when you turn the page and see a two page glossy ad paid for by xscout's arms company, do you trust the magazine to give you an honest, unbiased appraisal of that company's products? In other words, what do you think the magazine's publisher is more interested in, providing you the most accurate information, or securing a significant chunk of the advertising expenditure of a major corporation?
know anything about e cigarettes? My mom is a smoker and she wants to try these. She's not computer savvy, so she's asked me to help her. There's lots of different brands out there. Can anyone share their experiences, good or bad, with these companies and their products. And does anyone know where I can find unbiased reviews? Thanks!
I got really sick from taking Lipovox and this other crap Orovo, did anyone have the same problem? These supplements ( Lipovox & Orovo ) are awful, I got really sick from them. I thought the worst thing that could happen is that they wouldn't work but OMG! I was sick for about a week, with the runs. If we get enougth people, maybe we should sue this company that makes this stuff. A class action lawsuit to take this crap off the market. I think the company is called Sybervision. http://www.sybervision.com/about.htm, owned by Steve De Vore. Get this, this idiot has reviews on their own products, as an "unbiased source." http://www.sybervision.com/reviews/Review_Orovo.php?gclid=COaB2v_f940CFQ1dPgodxiVJLw http://www.sybervision.com/reviews/Review_Lipovox.php?gclid=CKKS7IPg940CFQ1dPgodxiVJLw Obivously you can see how shady this company is. Sybervision based their Lipovox and Orovo products on some other doctor's "THEORY" of "SUPERFOODS". So why do these guys try to trick you to think you can get these "SUPERFOODS" in a dietary supplement. Guess what, they come in FOOD!
Who is your favourite 'beauty guru' or makeup artist on youtube? I generally prefer people who actually work or have worked in the makeup industry, as they tend to know more. And I prefer 'tip' videos and product ideas to things like eye makeup tutorials mostly. I'm interested in skin care! Thanks! My favourites are; Lisa Eldridge - she is AMAZING. She's a world renowned makeup artist and she is so down to earth and lovely. Plus she does brilliant skincare videos. Wayne Goss because he gives incredible tips applicable to anyone, and works as a makeup artist. He's also completely unbiased in reviews, if anything he gives more negative reviews than positive, so I trust what he says. Lauren Luke - again, because she's talented and artistic, and she's so, so nice! blegh, that sucks haha - both of them annoy the hell out of me. Anyone a little more unheard of?
Manic Panic vs. Special Effects for Unbleached Hair? Okay so this will be my second time dyeing my hair an unnatural color. However, last time I colored only my bangs and the dye turned out to be pretty bad (it washed out within a couple of days - semi-permenent my foot!). I am now perparing to dye my hair purple, but I can't decide which dye to use. I will not be bleaching my hair beforehand (it's naturally brown). I will be using semi-permenent dye. Also, if it's any help I do play sports and so I'll be out in the sun, running around and pouring water bottles over my head, sweating, etc. If anyone has an unbiased review or opinion on which of these products I should use it would be greatly apprechated.
do you think i could be a good youtube "partner"? do you think i could make partner like soilderknows best or the ipod kid.. i would do tech reviews on computers sound syetms games apps for ipod and other tech products. they would of course be unbiased, so do do think that would make it or not.

Can I get a possibly get a serious opinion on Profitlance? I'm really interested in putting some actual skills into an online side-job (yes, not full time self employment, I've got that taken care of, this would be profit on the side). I've tried, and TRIED to do research on everything from type-at-home to internet marketing to "online education" sites like profitlance... which seemed to be the most reputable. But something just struck me as I was looking through all the google results and the reviews that popped up... they're all made by profitlance members. This says to me that all profitlance really is, is another pyramid scheme in which the members simply further promote the original product in order to get in on the cashflow. As popular as profitlance is, with all those thousands of people out there simultaneously working their butts off to promote a single website, I can see how it would absolutely own all of its del.icio.us and google web results. So how about this, can someone give me an unbiased, REAL opinion on profit-lance?
HELP...have any of you gals found a wrinkle cream that actually has shown results<<<<<<<<<<<< i've looked at customer reviews on many sites and they all turn out to be selling those products--isn't there some kind of consumer report that is totally unbiased or a doctors website....i think we'd all like some REAL TRUE (if thats possible) answers!!!!!
Ever used the M3 System for an Ex? I came across this product called the M3 System which is a series of steps that is supposed to help a person win back their ex b/f, g/f, or ex spouse. Its a video help series about how to talk to your ex and how to act, etc. Its not manipulative and seems very legitimate and genuine. Every review Ive read has said it works and Ive had a FEW unbiased people over the web tell me it worked for them. However, before spending 100 bucks Id like to know if anyone else has used this product and what the results was. Im really in love with my ex and would like to get back with her, but I need to restore the path of communication, which is what this system is designed to do. Anyone ever used it??
Has anyone used the M3 System to win back your ex significant other? what is the safest way to lose fat? I had to take a health class, my teacher asked how fast can you safely lose 10 pounds. I had no idea. I assume 1 pound of fat was equal to 2500 calories and the the safest calorie deficit a 2000 calorie diet person could on was 200 (so 1800 calories minimum) without causing problems. That calculation gave me 125 or a little over 4 months to lose 10 pounds. I got only 1 point deducted out of 18 for that answer despite the incorrect calories for a pound of fat (3500 calories/lb) I tried looking up what would be the safest route but I couldn't find a satisfactory answer. 1 source, I think it might have been about.com. said a 500 calorie deficit was max and that you can safely lose 2 pounds a week. Do the math those numbers don't agree with each other! (for a 200 calorie diet person) On top of that I only seem to find info on sites trying to sell a product or promote a diet/fitness regimen. WTH! Where do I find the right answer! I frequent Scooby Workshop, a natural bodybuilding website and There seems to be a lot of unbiased info there but the problem is he doesn't cite any of his sources! Where do I go to find the peer reviewed studies and what not? HELP!!! EDIT: If you're gonna post back it up with a trustworthy source. I'm not interested in your opinion on the subject. if there aren't any trustworthy source due to lack of research in the area then just say that. oh yeah I'm interested in losing weight so shut up wtf I wasn't interested in peoples personal advise I was wondering if there was reputable research done in this area and what they have to say. Any research done by corporations DOESNT COUNT because its inherently not trustworthy. But no. Yahoo users like to solicit their own personal opinions as if its fact to hell with question at hand. I meant to say that I WASN'T interested in losing weight. I was just curious. thanks yahoo you've been a great help as usual. That last line is sarcasm for those with terrible reading comprehension I would choose no best answer because all of them have been crap so far but Yahoo doesn't offer the "No Best Answer" option anymore so enjoy the points. You certainly don't deserve them you retard.
US Skins Review..................? I wondering what your thoughts were. I have not seen the original UK version so I come in unbiased. Except that if this is supposed to be set in Baltimore, then the shows producers should've watched 'The Wire'. This looks nothing like Baltimore... Now I appreciate that they are using age appropriate actors... but the actors can't act. Ellen Page was not in her teens in Juno and she could act and look 16 so it can be done. Really you should get people that can do the part not some people to just fit an arbitrary number in my opinion. They use a gay actor for a gay part just because he gay they get actors who can do the best job, why should this be different? But again I appreciated the idea. Also Teens speak in way more "like", "um", 'uh", "meh" and cursing so the dialogue felt forced. My school was a messy place and my classmates more or less looked messy, save for those few vain enough to spend hours getting spruced up. We had pimples and messy hair from getting up to late for school and sagging pants with boxers showing, though not as low as seem to have gotten. Lastly they never seem to get teens on TV dressed like I see out and about. Teens are huge billboards where I live so where were the Abercrombie logos on everything and or the bands tees for EMO bands and hot topic shirts of kids TV shows?! They also seem to have headphones in the ears at all the time even in conversation. Just think of the product placement you mega corps! And so for some reason this always make it feel fake to me because that is such a huge part of teen culture. I read they had teens working on the show to give an authentic feel... I guess they got their teens from the wrong time and place. I'm curious to watch the original UK version. But the US version felt like another attempt at 'Undressed' or whatever that soft porn show MTV had was. It felt like is was forcing the shock value instead of letting is be genuinely shocking. Bleech! @Gollum I expected they would tone it down. When can't be real and honest about anything on commercial TV in this country. The most authentic show I saw that should teens in a real way as of late was 'The Wire'. And that show was intense and funny foul and lewd on the way to the end.

That aside the actors couldn't act they were too stiff and too clean and pretty. My school was a messy place and my classmates more or less looked messy, save for those few vain enough to spend hours getting spruced up. We had pimples and messy hair from getting up to late for school and sagging pants with boxers showing, though not as low as seem to have gotten. I think they followed the UK version to closely because the slang and swearing was off. At least if you live in CA Bay Area. And really there would be more a lot swearing and nigga this nigga that, cock, balls, etc... I read they had teens working on the show to give an authentic feel... I guess they got the teens from the wrong time and place. I mean the amount to time I see teens on devices even with friends is absurd and that would probably make for a boring show but that is reality where I live. I curious to watch the original UK version. But the US version felt like another attempt at 'Undressed' or whatever that soft porn show MTV had was. Bleech!
