Kitchenaid Major Appliances Knowledge Base

Replacing major kitchen appliances - need opinions? We are replacing the following: 42in built-in refridgerator 27in double wall oven 36in cooktop built-in dishwasher built-in microwave We want all stainless steel and like the idea of going with one brand for conforming look. Looking for recommendations on brand..... We feel wolf, viking, thermador are overkill for us so looking at kitchenaid which we are told is the high end of the low end.
Do you think 5k for kitchen appliances is a lot? I'm in need of new kitchen appliances and I have a 5k budget, I found all the appliances I want. They're stainless steel and the brand is KitchenAid, and it's the 4 major appliances - stove, dishwasher, microwave (the ones that go over the stove) and a fridge. Well altogether it's around 4,600 but plus tax I'm sure it'd be close to 5k. Think that's too much?
CAN YOU BELIEVE, it's been 5 years and my friend still did not get her Kitchenaid Mixer from SEARS!!? Hello, At the time when my friend had purchased several major appliances from SEARS CANADA, there was a special promotion, "If you bought five major appliances, you will receive a Kitchenaid Mixer (Value: $700.00) free." They had bought 6 major appliances, so they were eligible. A few months went by, they didn't receive it. The Sales Associate said he filled out the form and sent it. He then resent it, spoke to the relevant people, nothing got done. My friend, a year later was then refered to the Store Manager. He said he would handle it, still no results. He left a few months later, my friend spoke to the new Manager, still no results. Finaly, she got refered to the President of the store, and she was offered a $200.00 Gift Certificate. That's not right, for a value worth $700.00!! RECEIVING THE MIXER IS WHAT'S RIGHT!! I am currently searching for other leads to help with this situation. Please send any other helpful leads or suggestions if possible. Thank you! Lola
